At 15 hands and coming 7, Rio is ready to start his journey through life at a great riding horse! He is very calm, super sweet and affectionate. Playful with other horses and easy to get along with. Nice steady slower horse with an excellent ground covering trail walk! He LOVES a good trail ride! A client adopted him at 3 from Ridgecrest, we gentled him and started him under saddle, it went very smooth. He was growing and awkward for a couple years, so with continued light work, we waited for him to mature and grow into himself before putting more training time on him. I think he will still grow a little more in the next year. He has been going on trail, learning Cowboy Dressage, picking up his leads and started some lateral work. This is a very easy horse to ride and work with, he is uncomplicated and communicates well how he feels. His personality is mellow and steady. He is always in a pretty good mood and wanting some attention. Not to mention that he is a very stunning color! He shines like 14kt gold in the Summer…a very deep golden color with a light mane and tail. He has great feet and good bone to go with it. Basically, he is the whole package for your average trail rider that would also like to train and do some showing. No vices or issues! $3000
